Paving Plans & Capital Improvements for 2024

April 29, 2024:  Tilcon has finished all the planned road paving as of 3:00pm. Sections of Fifth Ave will remain closed for several hours until the road surface has cooled. Thank you to everyone for your cooperation.

April 24, 2024 - Tilcon is scheduled to return on Friday, April 26, 2024 to start repaving on N. Mill St, Main St, River St and a portion of Franklin St and return on Monday, April 29, 2024 for remaining streets.  Please move all cars off the streets and out of driveways if you will need your car on paving day. Roads may be closed for several hours during construction. Please do not attempt to drive around detours. Thank you for your cooperation! April 22, 2024 1:30pm:  Tilcon has finished the milling process on Main Street, River Street, North Mill Street and a section of Franklin from Sickles to Fifth Ave. Construction is complete for today and will resume tomorrow for Fifth Ave and Franklin from Fifth to Sixth Ave. Thanks for your cooperation!

Village of Nyack DPW has been notified by our paving contractor, Tilcon NY Inc., that village paving is scheduled to begin on April 22, 2024. 

• Milling will take place on Monday 4/22/24 and Tuesday 4/23/24. Signs will be posted on the streets and please remove all cars from streets in the construction zone. Residents may use the Marina Lot (no charge on these dates) to move cars out of the way. Roads will be reopened immediately after the milling process. Please drive slowly over milled roads. 
• Paving  dates will be posted as soon as confirmed by Tilcon.

Streets scheduled for Spring Paving: N. Franklin Ave from Sickles Ave to Sixth Ave; Fifth Ave from Central Ave to N. Broadway, Main St from Broadway to River St, River St from Main St to Burd St. North Mill St from Main St to Jackson Ave.

There are other village streets in need of repaving, however, we are waiting on Water Main Replacement projects before we can repave those streets.

Streets scheduled for Water Main Replacement: Central Ave (between 5th & 6th) Francis Ave, First Ave, Marion Street, Jefferson Street, Cedar Street, Park Street, Burd Street (between Broadway and Piermont Ave) and Hudson Ave (between Broadway and Piermont Ave).

Sidewalk work planned for 2024:

Broadway sidewalks from Depew Ave to Burd St (east side only) will be rebuilt this Spring. Work is expected to last 2-4 weeks.
