High Ave & Rte 9w Paving Repair Work completed on Thursday, November 2, 2023.
Main Street Sidewalk Repair Project is scheduled to start on Thursday, November 2, 2023. Construction is scheduled between Cedar St and Bridge St on the south side of Main St. Work is expected to last 5 days. Parking will be restricted adjacent to the work zone. S. Broadway Sidewalk Project has expanded to the north side of Depew Ave from Liberty St to S. Franklin Street. Work is completed on S. Broadway and the contractor is currently 10/20/23 working on Depew and work is expected to last another 10 days. The original work zone on S. Broadway was from Burd St to Depew Ave (west side). Construction is expected to last 2 weeks, parking will be restricted in the work zone, and on the east side of the street in the work zone. Any questions, please call Nyack DPW at 845-358-3552.
The Nyack Marina and Upper Lot will be repaved during October 2023. Prep work is expected to start on Wednesday, October 11, 2023 and last two weeks. During working hours, the parking lot will NOT be accessible. No boat launching during construction. The upper lot will also be repaved, permit holders will be notified.
Depew Ave resurfacing - from Memorial Park to Franklin Street - is now complete! Thanks to everyone for your cooperation. September 6, 2023.
On Wednesday, 9/6/23, Depew Ave is scheduled for a road resurfacing project by Gorman Industries. The project will start at the gate of Memorial Park and finish west at S. Franklin Street. Thank you for your patience and cooperation with the paving projects!
- Free OVERNIGHT/DAYTIME Parking will be available in the Marina Lot and the Artopee Way Lot.
- On S. Broadway from Burd St to Hudson Ave, and Piermont Ave adjacent to Memorial Park - overnight parking will be permitted during construction.
- Expect intermittent road closures during the construction.
- Access to driveways and side streets may be temporarily restricted during construction.
- Please observe all posted parking restrictions and avoid travel on Depew Ave during construction.

Crack Sealing is scheduled to start the week of August 21, 2023 due to rain delays. Work is scheduled on the following streets:
- North Midland Avenue from Main Street to 5th Avenue (396)
- High Avenue from Rte 9w to Midland Avenue (168)
- Fifth Avenue from North Midland Ave to Francis Avenue (147)
- Grand Avenue from 6th Avenue to dead end (92)
- Jackson Avenue from Summit Street to South Franklin Avenue (187)
- Liberty Street from Depew Avenue to Hudson Avenue (39)
- Sixth Avenue from Francis Avenue to North Broadway (140)
- Second Avenue from North Broadway to Gedney Street (136)
- Third Avenue from North Broadway to Gedney Street (142)

July 7, 2023 - All 2023 road repaving with Tilcon NY is now complete. There are a few more road projects we hope to finish this year!
Upcoming Road Work:Depew Ave - Memorial Park to South Franklin Ave - will receive a road resurfacing treatment from Gorman Group later this month.
Crack Sealing - Indus Inc. will also be working in the village in the coming months to crack seal on the following roads: North Midland Ave, Jackson Ave, Sixth Ave, High Ave (Rte 9w to Midland Ave), Liberty St, Tallman Ave, Grand Ave, Fifth Ave (Midland Ave to Francis Ave), Second Ave, Third Ave.

Lydecker Street is completed as of 10:30am on 7/5/2023 - it's cooling off now!
Gedney Street is in the process of being paved as of 11:00 am - please observe all road closures!!
Upper Main Street & Pine Street will be paved on Thursday, July 6, 2023
All cars off the road by 6am on paving days! Roads will remain blocked to all traffic for hours after the paving until the roadway has cooled to driveable surface.
Village Marina Lot and Artopee Lot are available at no charge to residents during paving. North Broadway will have overnight parking restrictions lifted so that cars can be moved in advance of the road work. Midland Ave (between High Ave and Depew Ave) will also have overnight parking restrictions lifted during road construction.
Nyack Middle School is available for residents of Upper Main Street and Pine Street during paving.
Please plan accordingly if you need access to your vehicle on paving days.

June 28, 2023 9am: Milling on Upper Main Street has finished and construction has moved to Pine Street. Main Street is expected to reopen to vehicular traffic within the hour. THE VILLAGE IS WAITING FOR TILCON TO CONFIRM PAVING DATES - CHECK BACK FREQUENTLY - AS SOON AS WE KNOW THE WEBSITE WILL BE UPDATED. THERE WILL BE NO PAVING ON FRIDAY 6/30/23 OR MONDAY 7/3/23. PAVING IS LIKELY LATER NEXT WEEK - BUT NO DATES HAVE BEEN CONFIRMED YET !!
June 27, 2023 6pm: Milling of Lydecker and Gedney Streets is 100% complete. Drive carefully!! Milling has begun at the intersection of Main St and Midland Ave. Tomorrow, June 28, 2023 Tilcon will return to finish the milling work on Main Street and Pine Street. Lydecker road milling is completed. Gedney Street is expected to finish within the next two hours. All roads in this area will be completely reopened when the milling work is complete - please drive SLOWLY over milled roads!! The crews are planning to move to Upper Main Street if the weather cooperates. In the event of heavy rain or downpours, this will delay the work on Upper Main Street until tomorrow morning. Road Work to Start Week of June 26, 2023
June 27 & 28, 2023 - Gedney Street, Lydecker Street, Upper Main Street and Pine Street are scheduled for road milling. The milling process is scheduled to last two days. Roads will be reopened immediately following - please drive carefully over milled roads. The construction is scheduled to start on Gedney St, then Lydecker St and possibly Upper Main Street on June 27, 2023. Work will continue on June 28 on Upper Main Street (if necessary) and Pine Street.
June 30 & July 3, 2023 - Roads will be paved in the order listed above. Paving is expected to last two days. Please follow road closures and detours in the village. After the paving, roads will remain blocked for several hours until the pavement is drivable.

Tilcon NY is scheduled for paving over the summer months, as soon as we have a schedule, notification will be made. Indus Inc. will also be working in the village in the coming months to crack seal on the following roads: North Midland Ave, Jackson Ave, Sixth Ave, High Ave (Rte 9w to Midland Ave), Liberty St, Tallman Ave, Grand Ave, Fifth Ave (Midland Ave to Francis Ave), Second Ave, Third Ave.
Nyack DPW will focus on some areas with milling and patching. There are a number of streets that are scheduled for water main replacement in 2023 and 2024 and a complete repaving will follow that work - those streets include: Marion Street, Jefferson Street, First Avenue (Broadway to N. Franklin St), Central Ave (5th to 6th), Francis Avenue, Church Street, Cedar Street, Park Street, Bridge Street.
