Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System (MS4)

What is MS4?

Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System is any storm water conveyance or system of conveyances (including roads with drainage) that are owned or operated by a State, city, town, village.

Municipalities are required to implement control measures to ensure that storm water is properly discharged. These measures include public outreach and education.
