The New York State Thruway Authority will open its new Exit 10 interchange on Thursday, Oct. 10, unless the weather doesn't cooperate. In a news release, the Thruway announced it would "open the newly reconfigured Interchange 10 in South Nyack on Thursday, Oct. 10, weather permitting". Thruway spokeswoman Jennifer Givner said the shift would occur "after the morning rush." The entrance to the southbound Thruway from South Broadway in South Nyack Oct. 7, 2019. The entrance will be closed on Thursday, the day the new Exit 10 interchange is scheduled to open. The closure of the South Broadway entrance will move the Thruway entrance around the corner, to Franklin Street at Clinton Avenue. The new traffic pattern will involve four full traffic signals, where previously there had been none. Signals will be located at: Clinton at Franklin; at the Franklin Street Extension (Road F) at Hillside; and two signals in the vicinity of Shadyside and Route 9W North. The Hudson Link bus commuters will now use Franklin Street exclusively through the village - there will be no stops for the Hudson Link buses on Broadway.
