Over the next several months, the water infrastructure in the Village of Nyack and areas we service outside the village limits will undergo a series of renovations to replace selected water mains and valves . The work will optimize the flow of water into your homes and prevent any breakage due to the age of the current pipe system. The work zone will encompass a large portion of the Village and  will take place in phases over the next several years. We will do our best to minimize interruptions to water flow. We will keep you up to date via posts to our website and emails as we approach the start of construction.

This is a necessary improvement for the Village’s water system. As with any project, there are costs. The project will not increase your property taxes, however; you will notice a change in your water bill. But the increase is minimal in comparison to the scope of the project – approximately $25 per year for a family of four.

To address any concerns that you may have during this period of renovation, we have created a list of frequently asked questions for your reference. Should you have any further questions, please contact the Village Administrators office at (845) 358-3581.
