Columbus Day - Indigenous Peoples' Day

Village Hall and the Department of Public Works will be closed in observance of the Columbus Day - Indigenous Peoples' Day on Monday, October 9, 2023. Trash will be collected on Tuesday, October 10, 2023.

Parking fees are waived for the holiday, all other parking regulations remain in effect.


South Broadway Street Closure Friday Night

South Broadway will be closed between Hudson Avenue and Maura's Kitchen on Friday, October 6, 2023 between 5pm and 9pm. Join the fun as the SoBro district kicks off the Halloween Spirit!


Marina Parking Lot Paving Project starts next week!

On Wednesday, October 11, 2023, Consorti Brothers Paving, will start a paving project in the Nyack Marina Lot.

The parking lot will be closed to all traffic/parking during construction hours, which is expected to last two weeks. Any questions, please contact Nyack DPW at 845-358-3552.


Memorial Park Children's Playground Projects

Nyack DPW is in the process of installing upgrades on existing climbing equipment, including a new swing set and demolition of the "tot-lot". These projects are part of a larger rehabilitation of the playground and great lawn which will take place over the coming year.

Memorial Park projects received funding from Rockland Countys Resilient Recreation Grant Program made possible through the American Rescue Plan Act. Your cooperation is appreciated as areas of the park will be closed intermittently during construction.

Nyack's Famous Street Fair Sunday, October 8, 2023

Expect street closures on Main Street and Broadway on Sunday, October 8, 2023 for the Street Fair. Streets will reopen by 6pm. Always a great time to Visit Nyack!


Street Dedication planned for October 20, 2023 at 2pm

Please join us at the corner of Lydecker Street and North Broadway on Friday, October 20, 2023 at 2pm, as we honor the memory of Nyack PO Waverly L. Brown and Sgt. Edward O'Grady who were killed in the line of duty on October 20, 1981, while responding to the Brinks Robbery in Nyack.

The Annual Memorial Service will be held at the entrance to the NYS Thruway on Mountainview Avenue at 4pm.
