Village Hall will be open on Good Friday, March 29, 2024 from 9am - 3pm. Nyack DPW will be closed on Good Friday. Wishing all who celebrate a joyous Easter holiday!

Recycling Awareness Program

Please join us! On the evenings of Wednesday, April 3 and 10th, the night before recycling days, in celebration of Earth Day, volunteers will survey Nyack homes and leave friendly reminder notes where no recycling bins have been put out for pick-up.

Our door hanger promotes the free recycling bins available at Nyack DPW - just call 845-358-3552 and leave your address and the bins will be dropped off to you.

The information provided will have a link to Rockland Green, the countywide agency that collects curbside recycling. We hope to boost the rate of participation in our curbside recycling program.

Every ton of recycling save the Village $99 in garbage tipping fees, and helps to reduce our community's carbon footprint.

Recycling is an important part of our Nyack 2030 Climate Action Plan. Learn more about Nyack 2030 and thanks for spreading the word!

Recycling campaign volunteers will meet at Village Hall at 5pm on April 3 and April 11, 2024. If you plan to attend, click here to register.

Spring is Budget Season!

The Village Board of Trustees has scheduled two work sessions to develop the annual village budget for Fiscal Year 2024 - 2025.

The meetings are open to the public and scheduled for April 4 at 5 PM and April 18 at 6 PM. There will be a public hearing on the Preliminary budget on April 11, 2024 at 8 PM. The budget will be voted on April 25, 2024 as per New York State deadline for villages.

Meetings will be held at Village Hall, 9 N. Broadway, Nyack, NY.

Filming in Nyack

Expect a little excitement in downtown Nyack on Thursday, March 28, 2024, as Netflix brings their production of "The Life List" to Nyack.

At times, there will be parking restrictions on Main Street. Village staff is working closely with the Netflix team to have parking accessible at all times.
