The Village of Nyack, Mayor Hammond and Trustees urge our residents to stay vigilant with all COVID Protocols.

The arrival of the Omicron Variant in our area is a cause for concern. Omicron is spreading rapidly, and the highest case numbers per day - since the pandemic began - have been reported this past weekend. In Nyack, our caseload has almost doubled in 3 days.

As we have done over the course of this pandemic, we will come together as a community to beat the Omicron!

Following a few simple guidelines can make a BIG difference:

Mayor Hammond extends his warm wishes for a Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, and a Joyous Kwansaa to all our residents. A Healthy New Year 2022 if we commit to following the COVID protocols. If you have any concerns regarding vaccination or boosters, please discuss it with your health care provider today!

Booster Shots
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

A booster dose of the COVID-19 vaccine will help eligible New Yorkers maximize their protection, prolong the vaccine’s durability and continue to safeguard our communities against the virus.

Booster doses of the COVID-19 vaccine are free and widely available statewide for eligible New Yorkers 16 years and older.

New Yorkers 18 years and older can receive any of the FDA-approved or authorized COVID-19 vaccines for their booster dose, including Pfizer-BioNTech, Moderna, or Janssen/Johnson & Johnson. 16-17 year olds can only receive the Pfizer-BioNTech booster. If you have questions, talk to your health care provider or vaccine administrator.

New Yorkers who are 18 years and older and received their Pfizer-BioNTech or Moderna initial vaccine series at least six months ago or the Janssen/Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine at least two months ago are eligible for their booster dose. Teens 16-17 years old who received their Pfizer-BioNTech initial vaccine series at least six months ago are eligible for the Pfizer-BioNTech booster. CDC and NYSDOH encourage all eligible New Yorkers to get their booster dose, especially those over the age of 50 and others with underlying conditions.
